The Riverside Cafe, located at 7 Main St in Tweedmouth, Berwick-upon-Tweed, has quickly gained a reputation for its cozy ambiance and delightful menu. Diners rave about the full English breakfast, praised for its quality and generous portion size, all for just £9. Ellen Bear describes it as "great value," highlighting the inclusion of a hot drink, while Heather Reid notes it as the "best English breakfast" she's had in a while, emphasizing the friendly and helpful staff.
Allan Aldo Clarke's experience reflects the cafe's welcoming spirit, with staff making visitors feel right at home despite the roadworks outside. The cafe's dog-friendly atmosphere is an added bonus, earning commendations for providing water for furry friends. Many guests, like Callum Macmillan, return not just for breakfast but also for delightful Sunday lunches and exceptional milkshakes.
Dr. Ramon Quinonez Arce captures the essence of The Riverside Cafe well, calling it "probably the best English breakfast" with top-quality ingredients and excellent value. With such warm reviews, it’s no wonder patrons recommend this charming cafe as a must-visit for anyone in the area!

Roadworks outside, welcomed in by very cheery lady’s. Ordered breakfasts (it was after 12 but still got them). They were all perfectly cooked, delicious and plates were cleared. I go a latte, and it was probably the best I’ve had. Definitely recommend, and will be returning. Staff assistant manageress was soo nice, and this place is Dog friendly. Gave us bowl of water as we sat down for dog.Thank you . And Dog Friendly.

Fabulous little cafe, stopped in for a breakfast which was very tasty, then the next day for Sunday lunch which was just as good. Also excellent prices for what you get, Milkshakes are also amazing and the staff are great. Dog friendly as well! 5

Probably the best English breakfast I've ever had. A very well executed hybrid mixture between Scottish/English, where every single ingredient was top quality, the value for money was an added plus. Also, cakes and coffees taste amazing too (if you have room)

Lovely staff and epic food. Some amazing views of the river just round the corner too. The Big Yin breakfast was pretty spectacular!

Stumbled upon this fabulous little cafe during a quick visit. I had my first 'stottie', which contained sausage, bacon, egg, hash brown, beans, potato scone and haggis in a type of bread. (It should have had black pudding too but I asked them to leave that out). It was absolutely delicious and I would definitely order it again. The coffee was pretty good too. Definitely about 3 or 4 league up from chain brands like Costa and Starbucks. Prices were very good too and the service was excellent. (One of the women who worked there drew me a map of how to get to the local cricket ground). I only wish I had more time available to really enjoy the ambience. Would definitely recommend anyone to go there.
